ZUBATY - Wine Barrel Wall Art

I took one of my best art pieces and made it even better!

The "Zubaty" art piece uses an entire wine barrels worth of staves, but we actually use pieces from 3-6 different barrels!

Our main focus is to recycle, upcycle, and let nothing go to waste. Any pieces that are cut off and left over from one project gets bundled and saved for another, but don't let the fact this is made from "left-over" pieces fool you. We put an incredible amount of precision and care into this art piece, and are still very selective about the staves we use. 

We end up with hundreds of gorgeously delicate, thin strips of barrel stave every month. When an order for a Zubaty is placed, one of our craftsman will sort through and select a range of colors and pieces that compliment one another. They're then individually hand sanded, laid out in a randomized patter, and bolted securely to a custom backing made entirely of recycled steel. The wine stained oak faces outward to enhance its warm glow for a truly delightful effect.

The center swirls are made with wine barrel rings. Each swirl cut, smoothed, and bent by hand (you should see our forearms!), then carefully laid out and welded together.

Once both pieces have been put together, it's sealed in 3 coats of UV sealer to protect it for a lifetime. Our artists don't use jigs, and the stock we have is every changing, so every one is completely unique.

Can be hung horizontally or vertically.

Can be backlit by LEDs. Will come with a remote and standard wall plug. RGB and white light variety's are available.
