These mini barrels are really hard to come by and I finally found a distillery that does lots of small batches. After a healthy discussion over a bottle of brandy (or two...), we came to an arrangement and I now have a couple of these!
This barrel made whiskey for 10 years and then was retired to my shop to take on new life as art. The rest of this barrel went toward other projects, but I just had to make one end into an adorable pet bed.
The barrel is carefully cut, sanded and securely screwed together prior to several coats of a clear UV sealer to protect it for years of service and use.
We have cats and dogs alike in the shop at all times, and they all love these beds. It's the perfect size for a gaggle of kittens or small dogs.
Need a different size? No worries! We make them in all sizes for every sized pet and we do have many other varieties of pet beds available.
