A rare part of California's rich wine history, this candle holder is made from a retired Buena Vista Cabernet grapevine from our friends at the winery. If you havent been, please go! They are so nice and knowledgeable and their wines are one of our absolute favorites.

This vine is super special, I only have 2 and wont be getting any more. If you've been to the shop you know it was in my office as a prize specimen piece on display.

Look at the SIZE of the vine next to the wine bottle! She is one of my best vines ever and a huge part of California history.

Its 20 INCHES in diameter! I do grapevines for a living and this is one of my largest I have ever seen. You will never see another one come up for sale, its one of a kind and part of our California wine history.

One of California’s first premium wineries, Buena Vista, was established in 1857, and it has a proud and colorful history and the first winery in California to make wines with European varieties. This vine made their amazing Chateau Grand Reserve Napa Cabernet and was planted in 1897 and was making "grape juice" all during prohibition and sent via fast hotrods from San Diego to San Francisco.

I start by kiln drying each piece before the bark is hand-stripped and kiln dried a second time. The wood is then meticulously sanded until the beauty of its winemaking history is revealed. I finish with 3 coats of clear UV sealer to protect it for a lifetime of enjoyment.

The taper candles are LED flicker candles and look just like the real thing. Takes 2-AA batteries and last a really long time!

This one-of-a-kind decor is a beautiful accessory for any room.

The colors are incredible as it pulled up the minerals in the shale and gave it a beautiful mix of color. I have very few of these so don't wait.
